Jal Public Works Director Van Myrick observes water spout Monday as other city officials attempted to find the source of a line that was accidently broken during street repair work. After several hours of flooding neighborhood streets with an estimated 200-250 gallons per minute, valves were found and closed to stop the flow from an old line that had not been replaced.
