Hobbs native Tibba Smith ropes a calf in 2.3 seconds, good enough for first place, during Friday’s Ladies Breakaway in the Lea County Rodeo at Lovington’s Jake McClure Arena. By Saturday’s finale, Smith had secured the Lea County Fair & Rodeo’s Inaugural Ladies Breakaway title.
